Introducing Perrone AerospaceThe company’s roots stretch back four generations to 1893, when it began in the business of making gloves. In the 1980’s the company moved away from glove making and redefined itself as Perrone Apparel. Still in operation today, Perrone Apparel located in Gloversville NY, supplies flight jackets to airline crews, and has grown its customer base to over 60 commercial airlines worldwide. From this exposure to the airline industry, Perrone saw a new opportunity for covering airline seating surfaces in lightweight performance leather. The company developed Featherweight leather which is up to 35% lighter than standard upholstery leather resulting in substantial savings in fuel costs to the airlines who adopted this product. Today, Perrone Aerospace, designs and manufactures performance leathers and textiles that are respected and installed throughout the world. At our new, 90,000 sf state of the art facility located in Fultonville NY (just minutes off the NYS Thruway), we design, manufacture, clean, repair, and refurbish aviation and railway soft goods for customers around the globe.
